About Us
What’s the big IDEA? Our name stands for Inclusion, Equity, Diversity, Anti-Racism and Allyship. Together, we’re The IDEA Practice, a group of Canadian educators and facilitators offering an innovative online micro-credential course through Dalhousie University, called Inclusive Communications.
A unique approach that tackles uncomfortable topics with proper context laying down the groundwork for deeper understanding. Through a series of pre-recorded sessions and real-life scenarios, lead facilitator Camille Dundas walks teams through a journey to more inclusive communications in the workplace, within the framework of foundations of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Learn at your own pace with dynamic and informative short videos, helping to integrate IDEA in a thought-provoking yet tangible way in your workplace culture.
This self-guided microlearning program created by renowned consultant and educator Camille Dundas, is a thorough corporate education program formatted as short easily digestible pre-recorded videos. The program can also be extended to the onboarding of new employees.
The course is complemented by four live Q and A’s with IDEA Practice facilitators to promote learner discussion and engagement.
Upon completion of the course, each learner will receive a micro-credential digital badge from Dalhousie University.
What is a micro-credential?
Micro-credentials are pretty new and becoming increasingly popular, because as opposed to a certificate program, a micro-credential assesses a specific skill that can be validated through the digital badge it carries. The badge you receive after completing the course is encrypted and carries metadata about what you’ve learned and how you were assessed. In the era of the Great Resignation, employers who can offer ongoing training with tangible skills will have an edge.
